Taking a glance around and perceiving the beauty in the everyday... In William Carlos Williams' poem "The Red Wheelbarrow," a scene is depicted, somewhat reminiscent of a Haiku, featuring a yard, white chickens, and a red wheelbarrow. The simplicity of the poem and its description of a mundane moment resonates with my feelings when I wander along the back roads. Seasonal plants, ones we usually overlook, are revealed naturally. I find so much beauty in them and utilize them in my paintings on the white cotton.

"So much depends upon
a red wheelbarrow
glazed with rainwater
beside the white chickens."
